“The doctors here at ER Specialists Urgency Center were very active in sports at the middle school and high school levels, and we want to make it extremely easy and inexpensive for Colorado Springs school kids to participate in sports as we did,” says Dr. Julie Marmon, physician and owner at the urgency center.
ER Specialists Urgency Center is open late every evening – up to 11:00 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings, other nights until 10:00 pm. We’re also open weekends, so you won’t have to take off work to get your school physical done. Unlike a regular doctor’s office, there is no need to make an appointment – all visits are walk-in. And, there is no wait times – you won’t have to sit around with fidgety kids waiting to see the doctor for your sports physical!
The exam only takes about 20 minutes and we will include your child’s medical history and common physical exam items such as blood pressure and pulse, weight, height, heart and lung sounds, vision acuity, reflexes medications and allergies among others. The doctor will also fill out the form for you to give to the school. It just could not be easier!
This is a great way to make sure your child is healthy and can safely participate in sports and other strenous activities.
The time with the doctor also gives the parents and child the ability to discuss other health concerns and sports-related injury prevention items like concussions, dehydration and other health and sports concerns.
“A convenient location, an extremely quick turn around, peace of mind and the ability to talk to a doctor about your child at an extremely low price – that’s the reason we’re here,” says Dr. Julie Marmon.
